On Monday evening, Bonner David Gallery of Scottsdale will host a special private presentation by glass artist Simon Waranch at the gallery. Bonner David will be graciously hosting a reception for our members at that time, and there will be an exhibition of work by Simon.
Simon’s work shows the artistry and creativity of his training in Venetian glass blowing techniques, which he learned from his studies with Dante Marioni, a master of glass, as well as at Corning and on the island of Murano. As you can see from the image below, Simon’s work combines sensuous forms, color, technique and sly humor into a very attractive package.
Simon is represented by galleries across the country including Bonner David both here and in New York, as well as the Sandra Ainsley Gallery in Toronto, and his work is also in several museums including the Imagine Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. Simon’s work is currently on display at an exhibition at the Pollock—Krasner House in East Hampton, NY.
