On Monday evening, October 15, Arizona Glass Alliance will host a presentation by a young, up and coming artist who works in glass, stone and metal, Joshua Wojick. Joshua creates a wide variety of contemporary work utilizing a number of materials including glass, steel and other metals and stone. His work is cool, clean and very interesting. Several of Joshua’s pieces were on display at the recent Habatat International Exhibition earlier this year, and Joshua’s work has also been displayed in the past by the Riley Gallery. Presently, in addition to his work as an independent artist, Joshua is the Crafts Program manager at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
Images of two of Joshua’s recent sculptures are shown below, and for more information about him please take a look at his website, www.joshuawojick.com. This will be a great opportunity to get to know a relatively younger artist, on his way up.
