I have always been intrigued and captivated by the beauty of glass art. I am fascinated by the look, the feel, the way the light reflects, and the fabulous colors of glass. This allows me to create with passion, dedication and care. I try to instill in my work a sense of style, elegance and sometimes pure fun.
My art career began as a store designer for Crate & Barrel, which transitioned into building a successful freelance design, display and merchandising business. In 2002, I took my years of experience and began exploring the art of kiln-formed glass and quickly realized that I had a passion for creating fun, detailed and inspiring art. For the last ten years, I have been teaching workshops in my studio, which allows me to share my knowledge and skills, teaching and mentoring talented amateur artists. Conducting studio workshops sharpens my own skills and encourages innovations as my students explore their creative side.”
Sue’s work is shown at Wilde Meyer Gallery, Wilde Meyer Gallery Tucson, Two Plates Full and Thingz Contemporary Living.
