Sonja London-Hall is an Arizona Glass Alliance (AGA) artist member and Flagstaff, AZ resident with 25+ years of experience in professional quality art and commission work in all arenas of glass creations. Her specialties include stained glass, fused glass, hot glass, and mixed media art forms, plus other modern techniques with laminate/tempered glass, traditional mosaic, cut metals, ceramics, and porcelain tile work.
“Of all the art forms to love and work with, glass offers the most versatility,” said London-Hall. “By nature, it compels light to work its magic through it. We can see a sunset or deep pool of water gazing into glass. It can represent mood, dimension, history, time, and potential. Nothing as a craft gives me more pleasure than exploring the many dimensions possible with glass. It is a craft I continue to explore and develop. It is a community of makers like no other.”
London-Hall’s art has been featured in publications, local and regional exhibits, galleries, competition, and the 2019 Joel Montalvo public art installation. In addition, London-Hall teaches glass techniques in the Southwest, including as a teacher’s assistant at Pilchuck School of Glass in 2015 and again on staff in 2018. Among other places, her work can be seen at The Artspace Collaborative Studio & Gallery.
